Red Bull's Story
Red Bull Racing entered Formula 1® in 2005 after taking over the Jaguar team, bringing a very different identity to the established F1® paddock. The results took a little longer to arrive, but by 2009 Sebastian Vettel had delivered the team’s first Grand Prix victory - and Red Bull was ready to challenge for much more.
The breakthrough became a dynasty. Vettel and Red Bull claimed their first Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships in 2010, then repeated the double for three more consecutive seasons. Cars including the RB6, RB7, RB8 and RB9 turned the young team into Formula 1®’s dominant force.
A second great period arrived with Max Verstappen. His dramatic 2021 Drivers’ Championship returned Red Bull to the top before the team secured championship doubles in 2022 and 2023. The RB19 became the extraordinary high point, winning 21 of 22 Grands Prix in 2023 as Verstappen took 19 victories.
Now Red Bull is changing again. Verstappen and Isack Hadjar lead the 2026 line-up as the RB22 begins a new technical chapter powered by Red Bull Ford - the team’s first Formula 1® power unit developed through its own powertrain operation. The challenger that became a champion is taking on another challenge.
