The 2023 Miami Grand Prix was the second time an F1 race has been held in the bustling city, at the Miami International Autodrome.
It was the fifth round of the season, which thus far had been completely dominated by Oracle Red Bull Racing, with Verstappen and Pérez going into Miami with two victories each.
A Record-Breaking Season
The 2023 season marked Max Verstappen’s most dominant year to date, winning 19 out of 22 races, including Miami – breaking the record for most victories in a single season.
Heading into Miami, both Max and his teammate Sergio Pérez had two wins each. Max’s victory in the US city would mark the beginning of his winning streak.
