Own an extraordinary fusion of motorsport heritage and industrial design with this authentic race-used gearbox from the 2006 Red Bull Racing RB2, now transformed into a striking bespoke table. 

The table is made utilising the gearbox housing, rear impact structure and rain light from a 2006 Red Bull RB2. It is particularly special as it is the only Red Bull car to have ever had a Ferrari engine fitted. This gearbox would have bolted directly to the rear of that very engine. 

This exact gearbox was an early adopter of the dual shaft seamless shift technology which is now common in F1®. It also had a hydraulically actuated differential with in-cockpit controls, which was an innovative development at the time, allowing the driver to change how the car turned into a corner and how the vehicle would behave under throttle on corner exit. 

Technical brilliance redefined  

The gearbox featured in this table retains its composite rear impact structure with the original rain light. It was originally designed to collapse and compress during a rear crash to decelerate the car and absorb energy. Because of their placement in the car behind the rear axle, they need to be as light as possible whilst also being strong to adhere to FIA Crash requirements, making it the perfect item to include in an impressive table display.  

This is also the piece that the rear jackman would have used to lift the car during a pit stop. Lightweight magnesium housing a right billet machined suspension rocker is retained as well as a fitted linear potentiometer. The visible potentiometer would have been used to measure wheel displacement throughput a lap and help the engineers understand how the car was performing and monitor the level of downforce the car produced. 

 The original cross shaft and oil gearbox is still in place; made of very high strength steel this was machined by very specialised equipment before being coated and hardened to highly controlled specifications.
